This is structure 1E. It was a 108' cut and cover. The intention was for the crossing wash to pass over the top of the structure,
with the canal water flowing underneath through the culvert. The photo on the left taken in 1984 shows the structure pretty
much intact. That was not the case in 2011. The wash is now called Eads Wash. In the early days of 1900, it was
called Lee's Wash.
